But accidents do happen to good children. Which has not kept its hedge trimmer with one hand to ward off the other branches?

This data is therefore intended to recall these few evidences:

  • Think disconnect all electrical equipment when you are away even for a moment. This concerns the hedge trimmers, chain saws, drills, and of course the mower.
  • Never put your hand under the mower, or even to remove the foot of the grass blade block, even if it is stopped.
  • Do not leave garden tools such as spade, rake dragged against a wall, keep them systematically.
  • Keep on top of your closet all small tools as sharp as knives, secateurs, shears, ..
  • Also place at the right height all hazardous products such as gasoline, alcohol, white spirit, phytosanitaies products ...
  • Wear gloves and safety glasses when using a grinder because pieces can be thrown violently through the opening.
  • Even the wheelbarrow can become dangerous when used for shopping.
  • Keep your hedge trimmer with both hands and not to release the other branches to ward example. This is a classic accident.
  • Do not drag extension cords. The shock or electrocution frequently.
  • Remember vaccination against tetanus must be renewed regularly.
  • Attention to the drowning of smaller ones that can drop into your pelvis. Do not let the younger unattended around a corner water. The same applies to swimming pools, access must be protected by a self-closing gate and have a height of at least 1.20m.

Plants on the walls

Appeared in the mid-90s, the concept of green wall created by Patrick Blanc Dr state of Science at the University Pierre et Marie Curie, CNRS researcher, is a revolution in the world of architecture and garden . Its success has never waned since its inception and is available today in the indoor version with pictures plants.

Assuming that plants know happen to land when they can find nutrients in sufficient quantity, this revolutionary technique allows revegetate any vertical surface while avoiding the problems of weight and size due to substrate, the ground being replaced by water containing fertilizers.

A support mounted on a frame including a irrigation water and a thin layer of substrate will be enriched directly fixed on the wall. Plants selected according to very specific features of adaptation to their future environment will be added gradually and colonize space.

The concept finds its real attraction in urban areas where horizontal space is often limited, it finally became possible to dress the walls by exploiting their verticality. Finished grisaille, up to nature! And the walls of shopping malls become real jungles, the facades of buildings as tableaux vivants Branly on the docks, or behind the BHV ... This extends globally in more and more cities where the plant wall itself as a lifestyle.

At night, the lighting can model shapes, reliefs, bringing a touch of magic to the whole.

Another advantage: the green wall is both a thermal and sound insulation.

Inside, additional lighting ensures optimum growth. Watering and fertilization are automated to reduce maintenance, pump system can be combined to create a waterfall cascading down the entire wall to a pool that recycle water in a closed circuit, offering a magnificent setting.

The concept is adaptable as well as outdoors, to make frescoes or unlimited dimensional plant walls, indoor use only where you can either dress up a wall or just install an array of small plant to ward off a wall well exposed.

Plant walls large spans will be implemented by professionals, about the mural, its maintenance and development remain accessible to all.

Two solutions exist in this area: the first is to grow plants in a natural substrate fed cotton wicks ensure that in each case the water needs. Water tank for this purpose must be filled once a week.

The second system involves rooting plants in sphagnum moss used by a small fence. This substrate consists of moss is very healthy, rich in trace elements and antibacterial. Plants can be selected and changed according to the needs and tastes without worry.
